Project in a nutshell

The research project MEXOT aims to develop a socio-technical overall system for the manually dominated automobile sector by using sensory exoskeletons and automated guided vehicles (AGV) to improve the work´s productivity and economic circumstances. Reducing manual paths and feed times through a context-situation AGV behavior while using the exoskeleton´s support to lower the physical employee workload at the same time, increases the efficiency and productivity of the engineering’s overall work quality. Moreover, the employees´ acceptance and motivation of using technical systems can be increased by firstly integrating human-technology-interaction for a low-threshold interaction as well as an automatic identification of completed work steps, and secondly implementing gamification elements.
