A central challenge in human-technology interaction with regard to (semi-)autonomous work environments is to create an intuitive process understanding for triggering supportive actions. In this article, the use of body-worn motion sensors for activity recognition is investigated wit the overall goal of process recognition. As a result, a concept is presented and an exemplary implementation within storage and transport processes in automobile transshipment is evaluated and discussed.
